bitch please!

As 2012 finally comes to an end (3 hours & 58 minutes) I felt it was a time to reflect...as a reader it's sometimes nice to know who is behind the words. You've seen photos of me & you've seen a tad bit of my humor, but I'll let you in on my year!

In 2012...
I was unemployed
Started Cosmetology School
Completed Cosmetology School
Became a licensed Cosmetologist in the State of Florida
Started L | A Artistry
Got into a car accident
Fell in love (with a man who chased me for over a year)
ran out of unemployment benefits
truly had no money to my name
finally found a full-time job
spent Christmas & NYE without family

However during all this time, I learned who I was & what I wanted from life. I learned that no matter how bad it got, I still had to maintain a positive outlook, I couldn't let those around me know I was this horrible train wreck, scared of whats next.

I learned who my true friends were & who I could count on even when times were rough. I gained a new respect for my parents & learned the true meaning of independence.

I also fell in love with a man who in some ways is the complete opposite of me, but yet so similar. A man who even after a year of me pretty much saying "I'm not ready to be in a relationship" (after being single for almost 2 years might I add) never gave up on me.

I guess at the end of the day & even at the end of the year, as I look back...I realized I have had one of the worst years & one of the best years of my life. I turned my life around for the better & it only gets better.

I look forward to 2013 & ringing in the new year on a positive note, a boyfriend, great friends, amazing family, an adorable dog, a beautiful house, a great company & soooooooo much more.

When you look back on your year, I hope you feel that in the worst of times, there was still good & that no matter what you just keep moving forward. Because, I can promise you, if you're going thru hell...keep moving. It gets better. It really does!

In 2013...I promise to follow up with more of my work, not only on this blog, but my facebook page. I also vow to volunteer more & pay it forward. Just think if we all did one sweet kind act, this world would be a better place!

To all my friends who stood by my side when things were rough, or didn't go the way they wanted. Thank you, your love & support means the world to me!
