Box color say whaaaaa?

Ever have a box color disaster? I remember way before beauty school I wanted to be a red head, however I was blonde...Red & Yellow make Orange. I wanted nothing more than to have Ashlee Simpson's hair color.  So, to my surprise my hair did not look like the beautiful red color on the box. After spending about $1000 to fix my hair. I learned to NEVER use a box color again & here are a few reasons why you shouldn't either!

Box color is not customizable. Anyone can have that color. Generally, when getting your hair colored at a salon, your stylist will customize it for you by using more than 1 color. We understand what works with your face shape, skin tone, and your every day routine.

Hate to break it to you, but the hair color on the box is not necessarily what you're going to get. Don't let Tina Fey's beautiful "box" color fool you. She's a celebrity with an army of stylists at her finger tips.

If you're a typical hair box color user than you might find your hair feeling like straw over time. A lot of the box colors will carry ammonia. Ammonia destroys the protein, moisture and proper PH in your hair.

Lastly, you may be on a tight budget and think that $8 box color will save you some money. However, if the color comes out all wrong (like my orange hair incident) you could end up spending way more than $8 at the salon for corrective services.

So, next time you want to color your hair...head over to see your Hair Stylist & get color customized just for you!

Stay Beautiful!
